Ever since the box spring hype, the English term ‘topper’ as a mattress cover has found its way into the German vernacular. On closer inspection, however, Baumberger toppers are in fact thin mattresses. In contrast to average mattress covers, which can be considered more of a climate control layer than a topper.
Toppers serve as comfort pads on box spring beds but can also cushion the surface of mattresses that are too hard. Depending on the material or style, they are also suitable for making mattresses that are too soft on the surface a little firmer. As a rule, a topper is usually placed on the mattress, but Baumberger toppers can also be placed under the mattress. People who would like to use one of the Baumberger toppers as a Shiatsu mat for example, will have a long-lasting and cozy massage surface. A guest bed that is quickly stowed away is another useful application for our toppers.

Woll-Topper
Topper
Four layers of tightly compressed organic sheep’s wool make a firm topper and create a more compact surface on soft mattresses. The positive properties of wool can fully unfold in this topper. It is particularly heat regulating and has superior moisture absorption. The satin-like atlas ticking gives a smooth surface and is in turn quilted with fluffy organic sheep’s wool. The Baumberger wool topper is made in a classic design with a side border. The wool topper can be fixed with elastic bands which are attached to the corners.

Horsehair-Topper

The classic among the toppers. Horsehair padding was an integral part of bedding for royalty and still retains its superior status in the production of high-quality bedding. We continue this tradition with the development of our horsehair toppers. The curled horsehair has a higher level of air inclusion making it ideal for ventilation and climate control. Elastic but firm, never too warm or too cold and always dry is the feeling of lying on this superior product.

Latex-Topper

If you are looking for padding that gives your mattress surface a little more softness, the latex topper is most certainly the right choice. This topper has the capacity to naturally enhance, for example, your box spring bed. Natural latex foam is breathable, heat-regulating and offers very good point-elasticity. Latex-Topper soft

Achieving full spectrum point elasticity was the main idea behind the development of the latex topper SOFT. Organically produced latex foam offers unrivalled point elasticity. The knitted and elastic double jersey cover simultaneously delivers the high elasticity of the foam core to the body very precisely. Mattresses that are too firm can be significantly optimized with the SOFT latex topper. Like the Baumberger PiuMa Solo mattress, the SOFT latex topper is purely plant based and can be combined for superior performance. Elastic bands prevent it from slipping off the mattress.
